Working with local artist Laura Hosaluk, we are building a giant community-made Mandala out of all natural materials. Art for the Earth, from the Earth! The community particle Mandala will begin with the stories and teachings of the Medicine Wheel, presented by Joseph Naytowhow at 12pm on Saturday June 4th. The Mandala is sponsored by the Saskatchewan Arts Board. The Mandala's closing ceremony will take place at 2pm on Tuesday June 7th.

About Mandala Community Art
“Come Circle Around,” is a communally built particle mandala. The mandala appears in all aspects of life: the celestial circles we call earth, sun, and moon, as well as conceptual circles of friends, family, and community. The construction of this work of art will take place on the Children’s Festival site from June 4 – 7th.
The community particle mandala will begin with the stories and teachings of the Medicine Wheel, presented by Joseph Naytowhow. Community members will then be invited to place organic items into the medicine wheel, which will be in the center to honour the elements and all living beings of this land. Then the creation will expand and additional organic particles will be placed in the broader mandala, embodying the positive intentions of the people (e.g., hope, peace, unity, compassion, family, and community).
